IT WAS A spectacle, all right. The 100th running of the Indianapolis 500, which occurred near the end of May, marked the first sellout in the history of what is known as the Greatest Spectacle in Racing. Approximately 350,000 people witnessed rookie driver Alexander Rossi taking the checkered flag in Speedway, Indiana, making it the largest attended single-day sporting event in history.
