ANDERSON – James, Janet along with their families wish to express their gratitude to the H.D.U staff for the medical care given to our loved and admired mother Mary and for the kindness to us before and after her peaceful passing with her family at the Lorn & Islands Hospital, Oban. Many thanks and appreciation to D&A Munn for their professional guidance, to Rev. C. Fulcher for her blessing at the Parish Church, Oban, to Rev. C. Buchanan for his touching service at Cardross Crematorium. We are grateful to our dear family, friends and neighbours for the beautiful flowers, thoughtful cards and for sharing memories with love and laughter of our devoted mother, mother-inlaw, Grannie and Great big Grannie who will live in our hearts forever.
CAMPBELL – The family of the late Betty wish to thank relatives, friends and neighbours for their cards, letters and expressions of sympathy. Thanks to Dr Ken Ross for his thoughtful and compassionate service; to the office bearers of Kilbrandon Church for their kind assistance; to Ken Butler for playing the organ and the friends who helped out at the funeral tea; to the many who paid their last respects at the church and graveside and heartfelt thanks to Hamish Hoey and Son for their care and professionalism. A special thanks to the staff at Easdale Medical Centre and the many carers who looked after Betty so well for several years. £861 was raised for the local car scheme and Oban Hospice.
MACINNES - The family of the late Neil John MacInnes (Nonny) would like to thank all concerned for the overwhelming support they received from so many quarters following his sad and untimely passing. From the phone calls, cards and huge presence both at the church service and later at the committal it is clear that Nonny was much loved by all who knew him. A special thank you to the NHS professionals here and Glasgow for all that they did for Nonny in endeavouring to overcome and then alleviate his illness; the shinty community for expressing in their special way the regard and affection in which Nonny was held in the game; Reverend Dugald Cameron for his uplifting service and the thoughtful manner in which he made sure noone in the large turnout be excluded; Hamish Hoey & Sons (Catriona) for their efficient but sympathetic funeral arrangements and the Argyllshire Gathering (Amanda) for the catering. We know that Nonny would have been very proud that he was so very well thought of.
