How did you first get into yoga
I first started practicing meditation back in 2005 to help manage stress while I was graduating medical school. This naturally led on to me being drawn to yoga. I was a big exercise junky at the time and I guess I wanted to try yoga for the same reasons that a lot of people do: to keep fit, as a way to relieve stress and to improve my flexibility. I quickly realised that yoga was much more than a form of exercise. The impact that it had on my mind and quality of life was quite profound.
What inspired you in those early days
Noticing shifts in my awareness was what inspired me most. The practice made me want to become the best, most fulfilled version of myself. I also loved the feeling of starting to have greater ownership of my body and take responsibility for my physical, mental and spiritual health.
