Life can take us on a wild ride. At times, we will be completely out of control, as if swept in a current of fast moving water. The turbulence of life’s twists and turns leave us helplessly crashing among the waves of change.
Taoist fate predictor and Feng Shui expert, Jenny Liu, suggests that while our destiny is determined by the stars, we can have an effect on the path that takes us there. She believes, since everything in life is made of energy, we are at the mercy of the elements that created us. Sometimes we flow like water, sometimes we float on the easy-breezy winds of change. But when we push against the stream of our personal destiny, we will feel lost, confused, and troubled along the way.
“Fish don’t swim, they are swum”, says Liu. Riding the waves, fish use the force of water to move forward. They know they have no other choice but to harness, divert, or yoke the energy that surrounds them. Liu also brings to light that birds don’t fly, they are flown. Birds ride air masses versus struggling against them. Watch an eagl e soar high in the sky and you will rarely see it flap its wings. It simply lets the natural powers that be carry it to its destination. We can do the same.
