Following the organ-building theme, James Atherton, Head Voicer at Nicholson & Co. Ltd offers us an overview of the seminal work of John Compton, and explains why his designs remain so important today. Continuing our series on organ music libraries, Andrew McCrea surveys the Royal College of Organists’ important collection. Two contemporary composers are celebrated, too: David Liddle’s compositions are examined by Tom Corfield, and we honour Dame Judith Weir’s 70th birthday with an article by Michael Bonaventure, one of her frequent collaborators.
