On 13 September Graham Donald, 27, and Kerran Traynor, 31, entered the water at Fort William to swim coastto- coast across mainland Scotland. The 120km journey took them 10 days, averaging 12km per day and wild camping by night. As well as raising money for charity, their aim was to raise awareness of wild swimming and the natural world. Kerran describes the highlights of their adventure.

After pulling on our wetsuits for the first time we made our way down a muddy slope to the banks of the River Lochy, which flows into Loch Linnhe, a sea loch on the west coast of Scotland. Months of planning had suddenly become a reality. We had done various sporting events, such as marathons and triathlons, but nothing of this magnitude – I thought this would really push us.
