Because they can be grown in the kitchen, they are also perfect for those with limited garden space or limited mobility. While, thanks to their quick growing time, sprouted seeds are also a great way to get children involved in the wonderful world of growing your own food.
We’re all familiar with the long bean sprouts common in Chinese cuisine, but a huge variety of other seeds can be sprouted, including pulses, grains and even some nuts. As well as stir fries, most of these sprouted seeds can be used in salads or sandwiches, while others make a delicious addition to a juice or smoothie.
