New series Body wisdom

Our bodies are the vessels in which we experience our lives – so it’s in our interest to keep them healthy. There are plenty of people telling us how to exercise them – from sunrise yoga sessions to evening spin classes; in the great outdoors or a warm studio – so we’re spoilt for choice when it comes to keeping fit. But with that can come a sense of confusion; which exercise is best for us? Expert knowledge can be invaluable but, often, the noise of outside information can drown out the inner wisdom that our bodies have to offer, not only on what they need physically, but also on what feels good for us!

Give me joy in my heart, keep me moving…

So, if you’re working out but not seeing or feeling a difference in your body; if you feel like exercise is a punishment, or get caught up in stories that result in guilt, blame or even hatred towards your body, could mindful awareness around how you move, and how that feels, change your relationship with exercise?
