Glo Retreats, Stilleben Hotel, Amot, Sweden

Just two hours north of Sweden’s bustling capital, Stockholm, lies Amot – a tiny, utterly peaceful area covered in dense pine forest. It’s where Glo Retreats holds an annual six-day trip combining yoga, meditation and mindful running. You quickly slip into a blissful routine of early morning meditation, either held indoors overlooking rolling hills or wrapped up warm sitting on the pontoon of a nearby tree-lined lake, and evening Vinyasa yoga. You can go for daily hikes or, if you fancy picking up the pace, Glo’s founder Ola Daniewska – an osteopath and holistic health devotee – leads guided runs through the forest, o.ering pointers on breathing and posture. The route is picked by the group and is anything from a gentle 5km to 16km of hilly trails, and ideally ends with a session in the floating sauna that’s available to hire.
