here’s an old African proverb, ‘If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.’ This has certainly been the case for me. I’ve had mentors since I was 18. When I didn’t know any real-life ones, I bought books to read about the ones I aspired to be like. They gave me hope, motivation and, more importantly, a path to where I wanted to go, so I could get there quicker. The right mentor will not only help you avoid falling down holes you can’t see, but also help you fast-track success. But how? Because they’ve been there, bought the T-shirt and made the mistakes before you.
Coach, mentor? What’s the dierence?
