When I began this destinationless journey – resolving simply to take each day as it came, to find my way step by step, with neither goals nor neat conclusions pinpointed to my horizon – there was one thing I did not expect; that the name of this column would come to highlight my psychological shortcomings. The open mind. The idea, born from a wish to experience without judgement, allow in new things without overthinking them, and learn how to be truly accepting of the present moment – whether it be trifling or tremendous, chaotic or catastrophic – without attaining to anything more. Just, you know, to let it all in, and let it all be.
