Indianapolis ’94 was the first FISA World Rowing Championships to be held in the United States of America. It was also the last.

This is set to change next year as the Floridian cities of Sarasota and Bradenton prepare to welcome more than 42,000 rowers, coaches and supporters from across the globe in September 2017 for the first World Rowing Championships of the new Olympiad.

Working full time from their lakeside office since 2015, under the executive directorship of Meredith Scerba, the small dedicated team responsible for delivering the WRC believe they can pull off the greatest regatta the rowing world has seen. In September 2016, with one year to go, we were invited to see why.
