World Rowing has appointed Vincent Gaillard to be its new Executive Director, he takes over in January 2022. Outgoing Executive Director, Matt Smith, announced in March 2021 that he’d be stepping down by the end of 2021 or soon after, prompting the recruitment effort spearheaded by World Rowing President, Jean-Christophe Rolland, Vice President Tricia Smith and Treasurer Gerritjan Eggenkamp.
