Welcome to the Scottish Islands Explorer Magazine, now under new ownership! From this edition, SIE is being brought to you by Intermedia Services (Stornoway) Ltd, a wee business based in Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis. Originally established by Fred Silver in 1999, it produces the HEB Magazine and The Skye Magazine (digital copies of which can be found at www.magazinehebrides.com), EVENTS newspaper (see www.hebevents.com to see what’s happening on the isles of Lewis and Harris) as well as news websites www.welovestornoway.com and www.skyetimesonline.co.uk.
Fred Silver is the editor of Scottish Islands Explorer, and his daughter and co-director, Melissa Silver, is the deputy editor. They are working together with their dedicated team on the islands, and writers from all over, to bring you tales of island adventures. We hope you enjoy this magazine, and we hope it inspires your next trip to the Scottish Islands!
