Somewhat like the Hargreeves of The Umbrella Academy, everything could change in the next 10 days and be different by the time you read this. Fingers crossed meteors won’t have hit the Earth, but nowadays I believe anything is possible. At the time of writing - is this our fourth issue since departing SFX Towers? - it looks as though cinemas will be reopening in some way, and new releases starting to trickle through. Indefinitely delayed television series, comics and books are slowly making their way back to the schedules. Hopefully it’s just the beginning of a raft of brilliant stuff to take our minds off things - I think we’ve all earned it.

I’ve been enjoying revisiting classic shows and catching up on series I’d fallen behind with, but there’s something about indulging in new things that gives me hope, which has been in short supply lately. Hopefully you feel something similar, and a new issue of SFX will act as a (very filling) taster for new offerings such as The Umbrella Academy season two, Tenet, The Old Guard and so on. That’s something worth staying indoors for/wearing a mask/doing whatever we have to now, right? As ever, your support keeps us going - it’s been great hearing from you on social media and seeing so many new readers join us in the past few months. We can’t time jump yet, so we’ll see you in 30!
