For those not familiar with ‘Ride For Michael’, (rideformichael.org) our mission is to raise funds to help Michael Bonney, the former MD of Orange Mountain Bikes get his life back on track after a horrific cycling accident which in 2013 left Michael in a state of tetraplegic paralysis, requiring a ventilator to breathe. It only seemed reasonable to help bring enjoyment back into the life of someone who brought enjoyment to so many of the mountain biking community.
In the three and a half years that ‘Ride For Michael’ has been in existence, the generous donations from so many people have helped fund Michael’s rehabilitation and given him back a level of independence which he simply would not have had. Without these donations and the generous support, Michael would not have been able to return to work as an independent consultant, doing what he loves in helping bike brands flourish and grow. You have made all this possible!
But the race isn’t over and fundraising efforts need to continue…
