Singletrack RECOMMENDED

HERE AT SINGLETRACK TOWERS, WE PUT A LOT OF PRODUCTS THROUGH THE GRINDER. SINGLETRACK RECOMMENDED IS THE ABSOLUTE CREAM OF THE CROP OF THE GEAR WE’VE BEEN TESTING. IT’S THE KIT THAT WE USE LONG AFTER TESTING HAS FINISHED. THE PRODUCTS THAT WE WOULD GO OUT AND PURCHASE WITH OUR OWN MONEY. GEAR THAT’S SO GOOD IT EARNS OUR RECOMMENDED SEAL OF APPROVAL.

QUARQ SHOCKWIZ

Price: £359.00

From: Zyro Fisher, zyrofisher.co.uk

Tested: Six Months

Tester: Wil

Easily one of my favourite gadgets of 2017, the Quarq ShockWiz has become an invaluable tool for testing bikes and getting their suspension dialled in. And by default, it’s also helped me to learn more about my suspension set-up too. Designed to strap onto your air-sprung fork or shock, the ShockWiz is a small, electronic gizmo that measures real-time suspension data. It then pairs wirelessly with your smartphone, where an app provides detailed tuning recommendations.

Given the sheer number of adjustments available with modern forks and shocks, there’s certainly plenty to fettle with. But unless you’re a suspension engineer or a hypersensitive World Cup athlete, this adjustability also means there’s a greater chance of it all going a bit Pete Tong.
