Ruth Borchard Self-Portrait Prize 2017
Details: Biennial self-portrait competition intended to reflect and celebrate the traditions that inform the Borchard Collection. Open to artists working or living in the UK and Ireland, of any age. One selfportrait of the artist, figurative or abstract, may be submitted, worked from life, from memory or a photograph. Work may be in any form of painting, drawing, printing, collage, photo-collage, mixed media or low-relief sculpture. Stand-alone sculpture, pure photography or moving images are not permitted. Works must have been created since 2000 and be for sale. Online submission only via http://ruthborchard.org.uk/selfportrait-prize. Selected works will be exhibited at Piano Nobile Kings Place, Kings Cross, London from May 18 to September 22. The winner will receive a cash prize of £10,000.
