Well, I didn’t expect to be writing this for all who are reading Transliving magazine right now.
It all started out about one year ago, as I was a troubled male-to-female trans woman just trying to battle through life. Sitting waiting for the slow process of clinics and doctors to pick up the telephone (or that ball-point pen to sign the documents) to allow me, and many more trans men and women out there to get further on their journey. Like I said, I was troubled, with mixed emotions of the past and the present, resulting from close friends and family still not agreeing with the whole gender thing. I kept thinking “They’re confused? How the heck you think I feel?” So I started to sit back and write the emotions down on scraps of paper, slowly building a folder, full of confused rubbish, bringing all those feelings and trapped emotions back to the surface, at the same time going through boxes full of man-size tissues.
