Jim Thorpe is one of those elite sports icons that when you see a card of his, you automatically have to suspect it could very well be a fake card.
While any card of any value - and of any condition - can be faked, it is the better known names like Thorpe that tend to be faked the most oft en.
Thorpe, the Native American athlete who was the original Bo Jackson, was an Olympic gold medalist along with also playing football and baseball. Cards that were issued during his career are few. But there are several vintage cards of Thorpe that are post-career and that are well known to most collectors.
