Looking for fresh, seasonal ideas for your wedding day theme? Your inspiration starts right here

Drape your cake table with sumptuous fabrics and flowers to catch your guests’ eyes

Blushing botanicals

It’s the classic fairytale – a timeless, romantic and elegant day with a nod to current trends

Now that the promise of spring is finally in the air, delicate blush colour palettes are emerging as the leading hues for 2017. This beautiful inspiration shoot features pale pinks, dark greens and gold accents for a luxury-meets-nature ambience. Dramatic blooms and sweeping dresses combine to create a stylish affair, complete with floral-covered cakes and a showstopping floral installation for the top table – whimsical, dreamy and classic, you can ensure it still looks contemporary by opting for gold cutlery and blush pink plates. Pretty candle arrangements and secret garden-esque table and chairs lend themselves to the delicate theme, enhanced with overflowing blooms and rich, lush foliage. Florist Emma Weaver from Palais Flowers says: “We wanted to showcase the season’s very best blush blooms, using peonies, ‘Cafe au Lait’ dahlia, peach lisianthus and garden roses, alongside foraged hawthorn and smoke bush plumes. The arrangements were designed to emulate dutch master still life paintings being crammed full with blooms overlapping one another.” Lastly, inject dark green elements to give this soft colour scheme a grown-up edge through your wedding stationery and foliage.
