These shorts are light, they don’t restrict movement and they’re lovely to run in. The fabric is not only light but stays dry even while doing high-intensity activity. I found the sizing to be on the generous side (especially round the waist), although the draw cord keeps them in place reasonably well and the waistband is comfortable. The inner lining is also comfy and there is a useful zip pocket at the back, perfect for storing keys.

If you’re used to running in a tri-suit you’ll love this, as it gives the same benefit of freedom of movement, but without the chamois pad bulging between your legs after the bike. This one-piece is a smart and simple design, with two deep thigh mesh pockets. It’s well ventilated where you need it most, in front of your boobs, and has thin side panels too. The long short is ideal, and it’s easy to get on and off.
