Sophie wanted to break the record, raise money and inspire women to take on big challenges

Power for breaking the female Guinness World Record for
running the length of Ireland in three days, 12 hours and eight minutes.
In order to beat Mimi Anderson’s record of three days, 15 hours and 36 minutes, Sophie needed to record her attempt with two time tracking devices. She opted for a Garmin Enduro 2 and a Fenix 7s which both lasted the entire challenge on a single charge.
Sophie, a Team GB ultrarunner and the founder of SheRACES, an organisation dedicated to equalising race start lines and experiences for women, beat the old record by over three hours. Her Garmin Connect stats are incredible!
She clocked 347.03 miles with an average pace of 14.33 per mile. Her total sleep across the challenge was 2hrs 17 minutes and her total ascent 17,502 ft. Sophie ran to fundraise for SheRACES.
