My local National Trail is the Cleveland Way, but to avoid an out and back, and to ensure a quick mid-week fi x which is also a good workout, this route follows the CW for a short while, before leaving it to skirt around Boltby Forest. Almost entirely off road, the ground is easy underfoot when very dry.
