WORKOUT
TRICEPS: During the running stride, your arm drive backwards helps to improve your speed. Strong triceps will help improve your arm drive. These exercises will boost strength in your arms, while also helping to tone them up.
EASY
TRICEPS OVERHEAD EXTENSION STANDING
Muscles: Back upper arms (triceps)
Technique:
• Stand upright and hold a weight with both hands above your head
• Bend your elbows and lower the weight behind your head
• Extend your arms up again
Watch points:
Ensure that you don’t hit your back when lowering.
SETS & REPS
Learn to listen to your body. Start off with the easy exercise and perform two to three sets of 15 repetitions (reps). Attempt the more advanced exercises and perform two sets of eight to 10 repetitions. Progress until you can do two to three sets of 15 reps.
