We always think about hormones too late, don’t we? We think about them while we’re going through puberty. We think about them later on if we want to get pregnant, or we don’t want to get pregnant. We think about them within a flurry of perimenopausal symptoms. Or, for some of us, we might think about them if something’s not quite right – PCOS, endo, or a myriad other things that are here to plague us.
Generally speaking, though, we don’t think about them before these things happen. And we should. Because hormones don’t just give us spots, mood swings and hot flushes. Hormones are your body’s chemical WhatsApp group, sending messages to your entire body to control your energy levels, growth, and your response to injury and stress.
