I’ve always loved the Levitate. I’m a fan of the look and its energy return, but it’s always felt like something of a pro shoe, with that stiffer feel perhaps putting off runners who like the comfort of a Ghost or a Glycerin. With this iteration, however, Brooks has evolved its Levitate into something far more accessible. Firstly, the spring! The sole is now noticeably more springy, with Brooks’ signature DNA AMP cushioning propelling you through each stride. But what’s awesome here is that you can now choose whether you
prefer the closer, sock-like fit you would expect with a Levitate (the StealthFit here), or have a more accommodating plusher feel, as you would expect with a Ghost. So, you can get Ghost feel and Levitate run, if you wish. And what’s more, you can buy either of these in a neutral or supported (GTS) fit. A shoe for every runner? We might just have found it.
