STRONG BODY, STRONG MIND

When I crossed the finish line of my first half marathon, I’d never felt pride like it. My legs had carried me for 13.1 miles – I was amazed at how strong my body was! I had a similar feeling a few weeks ago after completing a run: not 13.1 miles this time, just three. But I was having a bad week – work was busy, I felt low and generally overwhelmed. Yet from somewhere, I found the energy to drag myself for a run. It reminded me of my strength of character: I was tough! And if I could go for a three-mile run on that particular day, I could do anything.
