The mind is a powerful tool. If you believe your inner negative statements, you are immediately limiting yourself. What if, instead, you believed you could run further and faster? One of the most effective ways to achieve a stronger mind-set for running is to identify how you can demonstrate competence. Also, many believe that to be a runner you have to be fast. You may need to re-educate yourself, and change your expectations.
Doubt, high expectations, perfectionism, social media effect, and other mental roadblocks are all common factors runners face at some point. How do you overcome these?
