Whatever your exercise choice is, it’s important to think about how your body feels before you work out. This is especially so around the time of your period, or at different stages in your menstrual cycle.
It’s important to realise that you may underperform at different stages of your cycle. Symptoms of these times can range from fatigue to sore muscles, headaches, bloating, diarrhoea, and the need to eat everything in sight! Getting to know your cycle will help you to work with your body to fully reap the benefits from your exercise –and cut yourself some slack during tougher times in training.
