Heartfelt congratulations to the TCS London Marathon for being awarded Gold certification from the Council for Responsible Sport. It’s the first major UK mass participation event to win the award and follows a comprehensive assessment of its approach to social and environmental impacts.
The ReScore app, a cloud-based application developed by TCS, measured both the environmental and social impact of the 2023 marathon. Some of the standout achievements of the event included Rainbow Row, a special section of the route created to celebrate London’s LGBTQAI+ community, featuring music, performers and activations for participants and spectators. A further highlight of the event was the funding awarded by TCS to schools for each finisher.
