Being injured sucks. Whether you’re training for a race, or just to keep yourself fi t, picking up an injury that means you can’t run is really frustrating. For most of us, running isn’t just about training for races, it’s something we enjoy. But a period away from running doesn’t necessarily have to mean a halt in your training altogether.
Although there’s nothing quite like the post-run endorphins and ease of being able to fi t in a few miles whenever you like, there are plenty of alternatives. Cycling, swimming, walking or aqua jogging can all help keep your fi tness up and you might fi nd you enjoy switching to another activity for a while.
