Emerge from winter into sunny spring and be race ready
Prepare for the worst, hope for the best. It’s a pretty good philosophy to live by, and certainly to train by right now. Few people want to put themselves through the big mileage weeks of marathon training, only to have their race cancelled after the three-hour runs are done. It’s why many runners this summer were so pleased when the London Marathon organisers made their announcement about the race before their training plans ticked over into the final stages.
