New research has revealed that up to four in 10 British women can no longer afford to pay for their fitness subscriptions.
The survey of over 2,000 adults comes at a time when the squeeze of the cost of living is making it difficult for Brits to afford basic amenities such as groceries and energy bills – not to mention common luxuries such as meals out and holidays.
And yet the data revealed that women are willing to give up social drinks, dinners out and holidays to maintain their fitness. There was also an interesting shift in awareness, with over a fifth of respondants saying that in the face of rising living costs, they will prioritise general health and wellness over gym and fitness products.
