We take on some of the most epic races out there, because we want you to do the same!
Threshold Sports, the people behind epic ultras Race to the Stones and Race to the King, also have another endurance event up their sleeves, and this one is a little bit different.
Endure24 takes place over two weekends in two locations – Reading and Leeds. Each location has a marked 8K loop, and at midday solo or teambased runners can set off to run as many loops within 24 hours as they like. Want to complete a single loop of 8K? You can do that. Want to run relay-style with your team and complete three loops with breaks for naps and food over 24 hours? Go for your life. Want to run solidly for 24 hours? All yours.
The beauty of these lapped events is manifold: firstly, you don’t need to worry about carrying hydration and food with you as you run, because you can stop every 8K to refuel. Secondly, you don’t need to worry about navigation, because it’s a well-marked loop. Thirdly, you can do this as part of a relay with friends, get a great run in, but also have plenty of time to chat in-between. Fourthly, you don’t need to worry about where to rest up because camping is included in the price. You just whack up your tent, make sure you pack plenty of changes of clothes and lots of warm layers, and you’re good to go. Both events have plenty of food concessions and a party atmosphere to keep your spirits up between loops.
