UK FICTION MARKET

Lightning strikes

ThunderPoint Publishing Ltd is an independent publisher of general adult fiction, including some historical fiction, some crime/detective and some which would be classed as ‘literary’.

‘We set up the business in October 2012, so we will be celebrating our fourth birthday this month,’ said director Seonaid Francis. ‘At that time we were living in South Uist in the Western Isles, and I had just completed an MLitt in the Literature of the Highlands and Islands with UHI (the University of the Highlands and Islands). I had always fancied running a bookshop, but (co-director) Huw’s work means we tend to move a lot, so we needed a business that could move easily with us. Publishing gives us the best of both worlds – mobile, with lots of lovely books to read!’
