Fab opportunity for BAME writers

The FAB Prize is a new award from Faber & Faber and the Andlyn Literary Agency to find unpublished children’s writers and illustrators from BAME backgrounds.

The winning author and illustrator will each be provided with a year-long mentoring scheme. They will each also get £500.

The judges are Leah Thaxton (Faber Children’s publisher), Davinia Andrew-Lynch (Andlyn literary agent), Donna Payne (Faber creative director) and Emma Eldridge (Faber Children’s art director). The winners and runners up will be offered consultations with members of the judging panel.
