The bestselling author tells Margaret James that being a trier is the best way to get a book off the ground

As I write this author profile, young British novelist Kerry Wilkinson’s latest bestselling novel Two Sisters is riding high in the Amazon Kindle UK Top 100 and – in common with all his other titles – getting hugely positive feedback from readers.

So, when I spoke to Kerry, I was looking forward to finding out if he was always destined to become a novelist? Does he come from a literary family? Or is he a one-off, writing-wise?

‘I’m one of seven, with a brother, a half-brother, sisters and half-sisters,’ he says. ‘Then there are nieces, nephews, uncles, aunties and plenty more. Out of everyone, Mum is the only one who reads, and she used to give me books to shut me up.
