HEALTH SMELLY SOLUTIONS

French Bulldogs are known for their flatulence!

DID YOU KNOW?

Flatulence in Frenchies can be caused by their tendency to eat fast, a change in their diet, or eating something inappropriate.

QAre there any herbal treatments that cure flatulence? My French Bulldog is unbelievably smelly, especially in the evenings when he’s relaxing on the sofa! I don’t want to give him anything that might compromise his health, but wondered if there were any natural, herbal answers to this smelly problem?

Fiona Dix, Suffolk.

Holly says: There are several herbs that can be eff ective in reducing flatulence. You can off er your dog some camomile tea (caff eine-free of course), or even add a little to his food, especially if he’s on dry food.

This herb has the added benefit of being well known for its calming and relaxing properties — great for before bed. You can also check out Lily’s Kitchen’s Bedtime Biscuits, which contain a blend of camomile and beneficial probiotics.

TRAINING STARTING SCHOOL

QWhen should I start taking my Golden Retriever puppy to training classes (she’s 12 weeks old now), and what would be the best type of training for her?

Lucy Donald, Lancashire.
