Sometimes the best projects can stem from an unexpected find – this wooden door had been abandoned at the side of the road so we took the opportunity to grab it and thought about how we could reuse it. We settled on creating a headboard due to the door’s light weight and good proportions. We wanted it to be practical and comfortable so we added padded panels, and painted it with a deep bold blue, which we topped with a wax finish to soften the frame.
