IF YOU DO ONE THING THIS MONTH...
Keeping your home clean over the cooler months can require a bit more effort than in the summer – you’re spending more time indoors and keeping windows open for ventilation isn’t really an option. Keep these things in mind to make sure you have a healthy home all year round.
● If you have dogs, taking them for long wintry walks is a great way to spend an afternoon, but the smell of wet dog in your home isn’t the most inviting scent for you or your guests. If your carpets start to smell, sprinkle some baking soda on them before you go to bed, making sure your furry friend doesn’t have access to that room overnight, and vacuum it up in the morning. It should absorb any smells that cling to the carpet and leave your home smelling much fresher.
