Leonardo Artmergency!
Wannabe Renaissance masterminds should head for London this year, for a special challenge inspired by Leonardo da Vinci. The Queen’s Gallery at Buckingham Palace is playing host to a special Escape Room that’s based around Da Vinci-themed puzzles and riddles. Teams must work their way through the four rooms to solve the mystery of the missing curator. “Think like a Renaissance genius to unlock the mysteries in Leonardo’s drawings”, says the Royal Collection Trust, who developed the challenge alongside History Mystery. “Your team will need careful observation, creative thinking and detective work to beat the clock, but no prior art history knowledge is required.” The special escape room complements the ‘Leonardo da Vinci: A Life in Drawing’ exhibition that is running at the gallery this year to mark 500 years since the artist’s death. The escape room challenges take place every Friday and Saturday at various times, until 5 October. It costs £150 per team of four to eight people.
