Two brilliant finishes from Matty Ashton thrilled the home fans.
Toby King beats Ryan Brierley for his hat-trick try
TOBY KING scored a hattrick of tries as Warrington Wolves ended a run of five straight defeats with a dominant performance against Salford Red Devils at the Halliwell Jones Stadium on Thursday.
The result which eased some of the pressure on Wolves coach Daryl Powell, who had seen his side’s form dip dramatically after a comparatively solid start to the 2022 Betfred Super League season.
Winger Matty Ashton also scored two tries on his return to the side, while Stefan Ratchford proved a more than able deputy for the injured George Williams in the halves as Warrington led 16-0 just before half-time. It was always going to be a big ask for Salford, with just one win in their last six games, to come back from that sort of deficit.
