The making of a new art event

Members of Brampton and District Business Association – Steve and Nancy Church, Emma Goodman and Nick Turner – had a vision of creating an event to coincide with the annual countywide C-Art event. Expanding on the local studios and artists who were taking part in C-Art, their vision was to incorporate businesses within the town to display artwork from local artists and to invite Brampton Arts & Crafts Club, a flourishing and pro-active club, to participate.

Lots of ideas were circulated and, after a few hiccups and teething troubles, they also managed to include in the event a cartoonist, a town crier, a tea lady with her vintage caravan (her cakes were very nice, too!), as well as local art workshops.
