Ready to try painting in the great outdoors this year? With summer just around the corner, why not set up in your garden and have a dry run?
Painting in the garden can be an excursion into painting from life and a great place to learn and make mistakes. Forgotten something? No problem! Just nip back inside and add it to your kit. If the weather turns nasty, step indoors and try again later. Need to return and finish off or try again? Take your coffee outside the next day and off you go. And there are no strangers to unnerve or distract you as you work on the basics of picture making. Paint in the garden enough times and you’ll master an outdoor working practice that can also build up your confidence into the bargain.
