Festival fever among Turkey’s fairy chimneys
Attending a festival can feel a little like spending a few days in another world: one where the inhabitants, unfettered by the preoccupations of ordinary life, are left to devote themselves entirely to dancing, music, general merry-making and wonderment. Cappadox, a relative newcomer to the festival scene, is worthy of note because it locates this already rather magical experience within a fairytale landscape: the honeycomb hills of Turkey’s Cappadocia region.
