MAKE THE CUT
If
you reduce your social media use by just 30 minutes per day and substitute it with some exercise, you will enjoy a staggering boost to your health. According to a new study in the
Journal of Public Health,
participants who did just that for two weeks felt happier, more satisfied, less stressed and less depressed. Even six months after the study had ended, those who deliberately took offline breaks were still enjoying one hour and 39 minutes more exercise per week than before the experiment began. “This shows us how vital it is to reduce our availability online from time to time, and to go back to our human roots,” concluded study lead Dr Julia Brailovskaia.
