Autumn is an exciting time at universities, as the new September 2023 mental health nursing students join their courses while the September 2020 intake students have just completed theirs.

With student nurse recruitment facing challenging times nationally, it has been a delight for my university to welcome a full cohort of student mental health nurses. They can look forward to learning through themes of nursing practice, professional development and research. Student placements are enhanced through simulated practice.
