Two thousand staff are leaving the mental health sector each month

Two thousand mental health staff are leaving their posts in the NHS every month in England, according to figures announced last month.

A total of 23,686 mental health staff left NHS employment between June 2017 and May 2018, health minister Jackie Doyle-Price told Labour MP Paula Sherriff, the shadow mental health minister.
