HOW TO ADD REMOVABLE SNOW FALL TO YOUR LAYOUT
Q I’d like to add snow to my micro layout so that it can be used as part of a display this Christmas. Is there any material I can use that can be easily removed once the festive season is over?

George says: Small festive dioramas have been popular in the Dent household over the years, but virtually all of them have been created as ‘permanent’ scenes, with the snow effects bonded to the surfaces with glue.
However, a few years ago Chris Nevard passed on his tip of using bicarbonate of soda as a temporary form of snow covering, which can look extremely realistic. Indeed, Chris created this month’s front cover scene using this technique. I was so impressed by Chris’ efforts that I thought I’d have a go myself.
